PHOENIX (AP) _ Adrian Aucoin touched off a three-goal spurt in a 1:43 span to lead the Vancouver Canucks past the Phoenix Coyotes 3-2 Friday night.

Aucoin scored in a 4-on-4 situation with 8:08 left in the second period. Alexander Mogilny flipped a pass from the left circle to Aucoin in the right circle, and he beat Coyotes goaltender Mikhail Shtalenkov.

Markus Naslund got the next goal 31 seconds later, shooting while moving across the slot. Peter Schaefer got the third goal 1:12 later with a wrist shot.

Greg Adams and Mike Alatalo scored for Phoenix, which lost for the second time in seven home games.

Phoenix controlled play in the first period, outshooting the Canucks 18-5, but Vancouver goaltender Kevin Weekes stopped a point-blank shot by Adams.

Adams brought the puck into the offensive zone and beat Weekes with a backhander from just right of the crease with 3:20 left in the second period.

Alatalo pulled the Coyotes within a goal midway through the third period, scoring off a pass across the slot from Shane Doan.

Weekes finished with 33 saves. Shtalenkov made 18 stops.
