DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Kevin Ault and Danny Moore each scored 18 points as Southwest Missouri State overcame a cold first half to beat Drake 87-82 Sunday in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Bears (13-1 overall, 3-0 in conference) shot just 26 percent and had 12 turnovers in the first half as Drake led 35-27 at the break. Southwest Missouri responded in the second half by shooting 59 percent.

Drake (1-10, 0-3) took a 42-39 lead with 15:32 to play on Shawn Caracoza's 3-pointer. But Southwest Missouri's Coleco Buie sparked an 11-4 run with 10 points, putting the Bears up 50-46 with 12:20 to play. Drake never regained the lead.

A layup by Drake's Armond LeVasseur cut the lead to 81-79 with 27 seconds to play, but the Bears shot 6-for-6 from the free-throw line to clinch the victory.

Drake's Robert Foster came off the bench to lead all scorers with 22. Lynnrick Rogers added 17 points for the Bulldogs and Kevin Bennett pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

Buie and William Fontleroy each finished with 16 points for Southwest Missouri.
