Jefferson library plans next week’s programs
JEFFERSON -- The Jefferson Public Library has announced its programming for next week.
In youth programming:
-- Storytime will be held Wednesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. It will include stories, songs and rhymes designed to help children develop the early literacy skills they need to be reading ready. The activity is suitable for children ages 1-5.
-- A SHELF teen volunteer meeting will be held April 10 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Teens going into the sixth grade and up are invited to join this teen volunteer group.
-- Little Learning Workshop will be held Friday, April 12, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This drop-in program includes hands-on learning and play for children ages 2-5 and a grownup to do together, including sensory activities, play literacy and more.
The library will celebrate National Library Week next week. Activities will include a scavenger hunt all week for a chance to win prizes; the Friends of the Jefferson Public Library’s monthly meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.; and snacks and refreshments provided by the Friends on April 12 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
