Mattress Fire Displaces Five From Scranton Home

SCRANTON A fire displaced five people in the city Saturday night. City fire crews responded to 358 Theodore St. about 9:55 p.m. to find heavy smoke in the house due to a mattress fire inside, fire officials said. Medical personnel took one person to a hospital with undetermined injuries. The fire displaced five people who live in the building. The Red Cross is assisting them. City fire inspectors will investigate to determine a cause of the fire. — CLAYTON OVER
