Victims of separate crashes identified
The Allen County coroner’s office identified two Fort Wayne men Tuesday who were killed in separate vehicle crashes in the last four days.
The coroner said Demark Olaf McHaney, 46, died after crashing his car into a tree in the 1500 block of West State Boulevard at 1:19 a.m. Monday.
McHaney’s death was ruled an accident. He died from blunt force injuries, the coroner’s office said.
The coroner’s office also identified Allen G. Raber, 35, as the pedestrian struck by a car Saturday afternoon on Coliseum Boulevard North near Lake Avenue.
Raber’s death was also ruled accidental. The vehicle was traveling south on Coliseum when Raber was struck. He died from blunt force injuries, the coroner’s office said. Police were called about 12:15 p.m.
There have been 33 traffic fatalities in Allen County this year.
