Roger Beich, 70, Beaver Dam

Roger G. Beich, 70, Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at Watertown Regional Medical Center.

Roger was born in Beaver Dam, on May 6, 1948, the son of Gustave L. and Ethel L. (Warber) Beich. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. He worked at John Deere and for the Johnson Bus Company, where he took pride in the relationships he gained with the students throughout the years. Roger enjoyed sports, particularly watching the Packers and Badgers, and loved his time as a Little League coach. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and John E. Miller American Legion Post 146, and looked forward to his Ho-Chunk gambling trips.

Roger is survived by his siblings, Ronald (Linda) of Beaver Dam, Richard (Sue) of Fond du Lac, Connie (Donald) Wolff of Beaver Dam, Cheryle (Steven) Lien of Pueblo, Colorado, and Russell (Crystal) of Beaver Dam; special nephew, Robert Beich; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Roland; infant brother, Robert; nephew, Jeff Vande Berg; and other relatives.

A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, Nov. 17, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Blvd., Beaver Dam, from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. Members of American Legion Post 146 are invited to pay their respects at 5:30 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
