Center to hold class, fun nights for families

The Watertown Family Center will host the following special activities this spring and summer:

-- Monday, May 20, 6-7 p.m., infant massage class: Nancy Bauer, CMT, will provide an introduction to the gentle touch that can promote relaxation and bonding.

The class is for infants birth to crawling and their parents. Registration is necessary. To register, call 920-261-2450. Free child care is available.

-- Select dates, 6-7:30 p.m., Family Fun Nights: These are themed events set up for families to give them the opportunity to spend quality family time together without having to spend money.

Registrations at each are limited to 20 children -- plus parents -- due to the size of the Watertown Family Center’s facility. To register, call 920-261-2450.

“Where the Wild Things Are” will be the theme for May 17. Children can come dressed as wild things, make wild thing masks and enjoy a story time. They will also create paintings of wild things as they imagine them.

“Messy Art” will be the theme for June 14 and will involve children trying new materials and being creative.

“Drive-In Movie” will be the theme for July 26. Children will make pretend cars out of cardboard boxes, watch a short movie and enjoy popcorn.

In other news, the family center’s Playgroups in the Park will start in June. More information is forthcoming.
