Norfolk Senior High main heating system will be getting renovated
NORFOLK - The main heating system at Norfolk Senior High will be getting renovated.
At the Norfolk Public Schools recent Board of Education meeting Associate Superintendent Dr. Bill Robinson said the district received interest from several contractors for the project.
Dr. Robinson said they received one fully qualified bid from Rasmussen Mechanical for $557,975 that was reviewed by the Finance and Facilities Committee, as well as KPE Engineers who is the mechanical engineer for the project.
He said the renovation will take place primarily over the next two summers.
“There is approximately 5 to 6 months worth of work. Some work can start taking place this spring, but because the contractors will be bringing stuff down the main hallway we’ll have to wait until summer.”
Dr. Robinson said funds for the unanimously approved project will come from district maintenance and deprecation.
