LAS VEGAS (AP) _ Mike Busch hit his 25th homer and drove in three runs Saturday night, lifting the Albuquerque Dukes to a 7-4 win over the Las Vegas Stars in the Pacific Coast League.
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tom Lasorda watched the game as part of his tour of the minors during the strike. Albuquerque is the Dodgers’ Triple-A team.
Jose Offerman, who was hitting .341 entering the game, went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts. Offerman started the season in Los Angeles before getting sent down.
Jim Riggleman, manager of the San Diego Padres, was also there to see the Padres’ Triple-A affiliate.
Albert Bustillos (2-2) pitched four innings of one-hit relief to earn the victory. He was forced to start the third when starter Jose Parra injured himself while running the bases in the top of the inning.
Parra singled and was hurt sliding into second base on a fielder’s choice.
Bustillos allowed a two-run homer by Julio Bruno, his sixth. He walked two and struck out two.
The Dukes led 4-0 after the fifth inning on a solo homer by Tom Prince in the third and a two-run homer by Busch in the fourth off Mike Campbell (7-7).
Las Vegas was limited to five hits by four Albuquerque pitchers.
