BEACON FALLS - State Police from Troop I in Bethany are investigating a Liberty Bank branch robbery on Tuesday on South Main Street.

A lone suspect wearing a dark colored North Face brand jacket, a dark knit cap and glasses entered the bank at about 1:30 p.m. and demanded cash for a teller, state police said.

The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber took off in an unknown direction, police said.

State police from Troop I and local police secured the area and conducted a K-9 track but are still looking for the suspect.

The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a cash reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the suspect, state police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Troop I at (203) 393-4200.
