Dodge County Sheriff’s Office questions burglary suspects
JUNEAU — Dodge County Sheriff’s detectives questioned two men Friday who are believed to be involved in the series of burglaries that occurred over the past couple weeks in the town of Herman.
“This afternoon the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle matching the description given in yesterday’s press release,” Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt said in a press release. “Deputies were able to make contact with the vehicle and individuals and they are currently being interviewed by detectives. As this is an ongoing investigation, we are withholding further details at this time to maintain the integrity of the investigation.”
According to the original press release, the sheriff’s office was investigating two burglaries that occurred in the town of Herman on the far east edge of Dodge County. The sheriff’s office provided photos of two people of interest and a car believed to be a 2010-2014 Mazda 3 with dark tinted windows.
“We would like to thank the public for their diligence and assistance in this case,” Schmidt said. “This was truly a team effort by the community and our staff to quickly identify these persons of interest and vehicle. We certainly encourage the community to continue to report suspicious activity as it occurs so we can continue our success of preventing and solving crime in our communities.”
