Car strikes pole in Bernardston, killing 24-year-old woman
BERNARDSTON, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say a 24-year-old woman died when her car went off the road struck a utility pole in Bernardston.
A spokeswoman for the Northwestern district attorney’s office says Marlerie Kidder was driving north at about 7 a.m. Wednesday when her sedan crossed into the oncoming lane, went off the road and hit the pole.
Kidder was taken by ambulance to Baystate Franklin Hospital in Greenfield where she was pronounced dead.
She was the vehicle’s only occupant.
The accident remains under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Bernardston police.
