2 Boston men arrested over drive-by shooting

October 26, 2013

BOSTON (AP) — State police say they are holding two men without bail on assault charges after a Dedham woman was shot and wounded while driving in Boston.

The arrests announced Saturday occurred a day after a woman went to a police station Dedham to seek medical assistance from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The 32-year-old said she was driving north on the WFW Parkway in Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood on Friday afternoon when assailants opened fire from another car.

Police named the suspects as 20-year-old Marcel Reed of Boston’s neighborhood of Roslindale and 21-year-old Andrew Rena of the city’s Mattapan section. They both face charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder.

It was not immediately clear if they have attorneys.
