NEW YORK (AP) _ Quarterback Paul Koster combined with Jim Weisenburger on a 70-yard scoring pass play with 2:07 remaining, giving St. John’s a 16-15 Liberty Conference football victory over Pace Saturday.

Koster, who also threw a 13-yard scoring pass to Andy O’Connell, wound up 20 for 44 for 296 yards for the Redmen, 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Koster to Weisenburger play enabled the Redmen to overcome a 15-10 deficit.

Kevin Enterline, quarterback for the Setters, 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the league, was 17 for 45 for 179 yards and two TDs, but he was intercepted six times.

Enterline completed a 6-yard scoring pass to Rob Fehrenbach and a 12-yarder to Rich Johnson.
