Randall Terrance Claypool, 67, of Tacoma, Wash., passed away Aug. 11, 2018, at his home in Washington.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, until the 10 a.m. funeral services at the Second Baptist Church in Kankakee. The Rev. Tyler Prude will officiate. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
Randy was born the eldest of six children on July 4, 1951, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Loren and Wanda Stubblefield Claypool.
He attended Kankakee School District 111.
Randall joined the U.S. Air Force in 1974 and made the rank of sergeant before his discharge date in 1983.
He had a great passion for sports, playing the guitar and spending time with his pets.
Surviving are his five sons, Tywin, Tory, Lil’ Randy (Belgium), Morgan Claypool and Eric Sangster; his siblings, Deon, Marla Claypool and Karen (Jeff) Cullens, Kevin and Mark Claypool; grandchildren, Donovan, Tiyanna, Tywin Jr. Claypool and Christian Cleaves; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His parents preceded him in death.
