HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Dave Miller hit a 3-pointer with two seconds left, capping an 11-point second-half comeback to give North Texas a 64-62 victory over Sam Houston State on Saturday night.

The Eagles (8-11, 6-5 Southland Conference) trailed 40-29 with 15:46 to play when they began their rally.

The game was tied four times in the last four minutes, and the Bearkats (6-13, 4-7) went ahead 62-61 with nine seconds left.

Chris Smith led North Texas with 19 points. Miller had 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Sam Houston was led by 17 points from Quinton McLeod. Mata scored 13 and Derick Preston added 10. Dion Caroline had nine points and nine assists.
