COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ State Auto Financial Corp. (STFC) on Monday reported second-quarter profit of $6 million.

On a per-share basis, the Columbus, Ohio-based company said it had profit of 14 cents. Losses, adjusted for investment gains, were 8 cents per share.

The insurance holding company posted revenue of $341.7 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $329.6 million.

State Auto Financial shares have risen 6 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 24 percent in the last 12 months.
