Harvey M. Longtin Sr., 85, of Bourbonnais, passed away Wednesday (July 4, 2018) at Watseka Rehabilitation.
He was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Kankakee, the son of Phillip Joseph and Jeannette LaFlamme Longtin.
In 1952, Harvey married Iva Shane at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee. She preceded him in death in 2004.
He was a former employee of Kankakee Roper, Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights and Marycrest Lanes in Kankakee.
Harvey was a member of the Moose. He enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Philip and Wanda Longtin, of Gilman, and Michael Longtin, of Bourbonnais; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean and John Holt, of Bourbonnais, Phyllis and Robert Minard, of Watseka, and Harletta Simpkins, of St. Anne; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Ruth Lamie, of Watseka.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Harvey Longtin Jr.; one great-grandson; five brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday, July 7, until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
