Beaver Dam Police Beat: Jan. 15-20, 2019

Domestic incident — At 10 a.m. Tuesday, officers took a man to jail for domestic disorderly conduct and probation hold from the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive.

Domestic incident — At 12:23 p.m. Tuesday, a woman reported that a man wouldn’t let her leave her apartment in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive. Nothing physical happened and the two were separated.

Theft — At 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, a man reported his bike was stolen from the 800 block of South Center Street the previous week.

Child abuse — At 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, police checked on a report of child abuse.

Domestic disturbance — At 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported an incident with a man who left before an officer arrived in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive.

Theft — At 1:21 a.m. Thursday, a woman reported her purse was taken from her locked vehicle in the 400 block of North University Avenue. There were no signs of forced entry.

Trespassing — At 12:27 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported a man came into her garage without her permission and sat in the driveway screaming at her for a half-hour. An officer spoke to both sides and determined there was no basis to issue citations or request charges against the man.

Sexual harassment — At 2 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported her male adult neighbor was making sexual gestures at her through the window while watching her.

Noise complaint — At 8:35 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported her neighbors were playing loud music and yelling in the 1000 block of North Spring Street as part of an ongoing issue. The tenants were cooperative and tole to keep it down.

Theft — At 1:31 p.m. Friday, a woman in the 1600 block of North Spring Street reported another woman took some of her items.

Disorderly conduct — At 6:36 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a man dragging a child out of a store in the 100 block of Frances Lane and yelling obscenities to a woman who followed him. Police made contact with the parties and viewed video of the two yelling at each other. They were both warned. Nothing physical happened.

Disorderly conduct — At 9:13 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report that a resident was out of control in the 200 block of Madison Street.

Theft — At 7:35 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported that someone stole her earphones that cost $150. Police made contact with a woman who works at business in the 800 block of Park Avenue and took them after seeing them. The two attempted to work it out without police involvement, but the caller was going to call and press charges.

Disorderly conduct — At 10:32 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported that a car went through the drive-thru at McDonald’s, 840 Park Ave., that included a man on the roof who was wearing only underwear.

Noise complaint — At 10:36 p.m. Sunday, a man reported four children were lighting off fireworks in front of a house in the 300 block of Pleasant Street before running across the street. Police did not locate them.
