State to help fund railroad crossing fix

The railroad grade crossing on Sugar Grove Road in Sheridan Township is scheduled to be replaced and rebuilt in 2019.

The Mason County Road Commission has been chosen to receive a grant from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for the 2019 Local Grade Crossing Surface Program.

“That was good news,” said Mary Samuels, road commission managing director.
