Volleyball: Creek denied in five; Jefferson sweeps Big Foot

JOHNSON CREEK — Parkview outlasted Johnson Creek 25-18, 18-25, 16-25, 25-23, 15-8 in a Trailways South volleyball match on Thursday.

Freshman setter Kenadie LaSage put up 40 assists for Johnson Creek (2-2 in conference). Senior outside hitter Rylie Thomas had 15 kills. Sophomore libero Bella Herman had 17 digs.

Madison Felmeten had 12 digs and four blocks to pace Parkview.

Johnson Creek hosts Randolph on Tuesday.


JEFFERSON — Alison Hauser had four aces to go with eight kills as Jefferson swept visiting Big Foot, 25-23, 25-21, 26-24, in Thursday’s Rock Valley volleyball match.

Brooklyn Fritz had nine kills and eight digs while Cassidy Spies provided nine kills and three aces. Claire Peachey finished with 11 assists, seven digs and four kills while Mariah Hall handed out 15 assists.

“This was the most mature volleyball I’ve seen this group of girls play,” Jefferson coach Kaley Jacobson said. “The matches were all close, but our focused mindset never faltered.

“I’m very proud of how balanced on the attack we were tonight. Our setters did a great job distributing.”

Parker Biwer had 19 digs for the Eagles, who head to Saturday’s Badger Invitational.
