Assault victim to tell her story three years later

January 26, 2019

Three years ago, Rachel Mishler was assaulted in her home in Greenville Township.

At 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Greensburg State Police Barracks, Mishler will discuss the incident with the media in hopes of catching the alleged perpetrator.

At 11:08 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2016, Mishler arrived at her home along the 3000 block of Greenville Road, Greenville Township. A man was already inside.

“As she entered the home, the unknown male turned off the lights and attacked her,” state police said in a press release.

“The male hit Rachel several times in the face causing multiple fractures and then choked her unconscious. When Rachel regained consciousness, the male was gone.”

Evidence was collected from the scene, but police have not been able to link it to any individuals. Other burglaries were committed in the same time and area, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 814-445-4104.
