North Side grad to lead Habitat for Humanity

January 10, 2019

A North Side High School graduate is slated to lead Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne beginning next month, the organization announced today.

Andrew Gritzmaker comes to Habitat from Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House, where he served as executive director since 2013.

“While at MACHH, I witnessed the transformational impact of safe, secure short-term housing during medical crisis,” Gritzmaker said in a statement. “I look forward to working with Habitat in an effort to provide permanent housing solutions that will impact families as well as our community for generations to come.”

His new role at Habitat, CEO, takes effect Feb. 4.

The previous leader, Justin Berger, announced his resignation in August. He was with Habitat for eight years.
