Kentucky AD’s Future Uncertain
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) _ A monthlong investigation into the Kentucky athletic department could cost athletic director Larry Ivy his job.
``The report has got to be inclusive enough that it restores 100 percent confidence in our program _ that it will be both competitive and completely legal and completely open to the public,″ Kentucky board of trustees chairman Billy Joe Miles said. ``I think that it’s not possible to have those three things if Larry’s the A.D.″
President Lee Todd said Thursday he will report the findings next week, perhaps as early as Monday, from a five-member panel.
Ivy declined to comment.
Todd formed the committee shortly after the NCAA put the university on probation for widespread problems in its football program. The NCAA cited the school for a lack of institutional control.
