Highway Patrol: 2 people injured in crash near Leonard
LEONARD, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota authorities say two drivers have been injured after a Fed Ex van driver rear-ended a semi-truck stopped at railroad tracks near Leonard.
The Highway Patrol says the accident happened about 9 a.m. Thursday on Highway 46. The patrol says the van driver was looking at a map and didn’t realize the semi had stopped.
The van was extensively damaged in the collision, and officials say both drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities cited the van driver for distracted driving.
