The Latest: Southbound I-19 reopens after fatal wreck

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — The Latest on a freeway closure due to a wreck (all times local):

7:35 a.m.

Southbound Interstate 19 has reopened on Tucson’s south side after being closed nearly three hours during the Wednesday morning commute because of a fatal wreck.

Authorities said the single-vehicle rollover occurred at Valencia Road.

6:15 a.m.

A fatal single-vehicle rollover wreck closed southbound Interstate 19 at Valencia Road on Tucson’s south side during the start of the Wednesday morning commute.

The state Department of Public Safety says there’s no estimate on when the freeway will reopen.

The state Department of Transportation says traffic is getting around the wreck and closure by using the Valencia Road ramps. and that there’s no estimate when the closure will end.
