Hibs reach Scottish Cup final after fightback
GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — Hibernian fought back from three goals down to beat second-tier club Falkirk 4-3 in extra time and reach the Scottish Cup final on Saturday.
Leigh Griffiths sent a 25-yard strike into the top corner with five minutes remaining to settle the semifinal at Hampden Park.
Second-tier club Falkirk had stormed in front inside 30 minutes, with Craig Sibbald, Jay Fulton and Blair Alston scoring.
But the comeback began six minutes into the second half when Alex Harris scored from 25 yards.
Griffiths missed a penalty before netting his first goal in the 78th, and Eoin Doyle sent the game into extra-time with a long-range effort.
Dundee United plays Celtic on Sunday in the other semifinal.
