ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ U.S. F2000 driver Thiago Bezerra of Brazil remained in critical condition Sunday in the intensive care unit at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Bezerra, 20, sustained a several non-surgical head injury during Saturday's US F2000 National Championship race at Walt Disney World Speedway. The youngster from Rio de Janeiro started on the pole and was running third when he crashed on the 40th lap of the 50-lap race.

He was knocked unconscious in the crash, briefly gained consciousness, but lapsed back into unconsciousness before being flown by helicopter to the hospital.
