DALLAS (AP) _ Howard Eisley had 15 points, including the go-ahead layup with 16 seconds left, as the Dallas Mavericks rallied for a 100-96 preseason victory over the Miami Heat on Friday night.

Brian Grant led the Heat with 25 points, and his inside basket with 1:32 left gave Miami a 96-92 edge.

Miami’s Bruce Bowen missed from 14 feet with six seconds left, and Greg Buckner converted two free throws with 2.1 seconds to play for the final margin.

Christian Laettner had 14 points, Nash had 13 and Michael Finley and Greg Buckner 12 each for Dallas.
