Wilmington Planning Board has given its approval to a controversial

proposal for a detox center in that community. It’s now up to the

Zoning Board of Approvals for final approval.

Tuesday, where UMass Lowell launched a new military research center.

Reporter Rick Sobey, rsobey@lowellsun.com, is attending the launch

of Lowell House’s new opioid treatment facility Tuesday night.

Reporter Alana Melanson, amelanson@lowellsun.com, was at the

groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for a large multi-family development

off Turnpike Road.
