Special Features and Artist Lineup Announced for the Other Art Fair Chicago Presented by Saatchi Art
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Other Art Fair (“TOAF” or the “Fair”), a leading art fair for discovering independent emerging artists, has released its official artist lineup and programming for its debut in Chicago. The Fair’s Midwest edition will take place September 28–30, during Art Week Chicago, and will be located at Mana Contemporary Chicago in the arts-centric neighborhood of Pilsen.
In support of Little Black Pearl, the Fair’s official charity partner, Chicago-based artist Hebru Brantley will be the guest artist for the Fair in Chicago. Brantley, who will present a limited edition print sold exclusively at the Fair in Chicago, is known for his brightly colored iconic characters. His sculptures, mural and graffiti works have made him a highly sought-after rising star—his works have been exhibited in solo gallery and museum shows, as well as in art fairs including Art Basel Switzerland, Art Basel Miami and Frieze London.
“Chicago has a strong arts community, and we are excited to introduce fair programming that reflects the creative spirit and energy of the city,” said Ryan Stanier, founder of TOAF. “Pilsen felt like a natural fit for the Fair’s Chicago location, and Mana Contemporary is an incredible venue for the experiential elements we have in store for this edition.”
Below are some of the highlighted features of the Fair in Chicago:
