Delay of Game Wins at Aqueduct
NEW YORK (AP) _ Delay of Game scored a wire-to-wire upset victory in Aqueduct’s Saturday feature, winning the $110,100 Stuyvesant Handicap for 3-year-olds and up by five lengths.
Concerto was second in the field of eight, a neck in front of the favorite, Mr. Sinatra.
Delay of Game, assigned 114 pounds and ridden by Jean-Luc Samyn, covered 1 1/8 miles in 1:47:3 to earn $66,060 for John H. Peace with his second win in seven starts this year.
Delay of Game paid $38.40, $14.40 and $4.20. Concerto paid $4.40 and $2.40 and Mr. Sinatra was $2.20 to show.
