Get ready to tailgate with outdoor gear

October 10, 2018

Ready to tailgate? If you’re wondering what to serve, football fans in the South and Northeast prefer wings at their tailgate, while those in the Midwest and West want burgers. Beer is overwhelmingly the favorite beverage with both sexes everywhere, with only 5 percent requesting wine, according to a recent RetailMeNot survey.

Respondents also said it wouldn’t be a tailgate without: a cooler, grill, team gear, TV and canopy, in that order.

Here are some new products to make tailgating easier.

Weber Q1200 Gas Grill: This Weber has 189-square inches of cooking space and porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates for the perfect sear. It has a push-button ignition, a lid thermometer and folding side tables. $219, weber.com.

Clevermade QuadraBrella: Its square shape allows the QuadraBrella to set up like a shield or overhead so you are always in the shade. It has a UPF 50 lining and comes with tie-down cords. $49.99, clevermade.com

Tailgater Tire Table: This table hooks to your tire (13-inch to 46-inch) and stays stable no matter what the ground condition. It holds up to 50 pounds and stores flat; no tools required. $139.95, Camping World.

iHome Aquio bottle with waterproof speaker: This double-wall-insulated bottle keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours or hot for up to 14 hours. Its removable Bluetooth speaker, wrapped in acoustic fabric, is powerful, waterproof and sandproof. $70, Urban Outfitters.
