BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) _ Kyle Snowden scored 17 points and started Harvard on a 6-0 run late in the game that set up a 69-61 victory over Vermont on Saturday.

After Vermont grabbed its only lead of the second half on David Roach's three-point play with 5:15 left, Snowden's basket put Harvard ahead to stay, 57-56. Tim Hill followed with a long jumper and Michael Scott dropped two free throws for a 61-56 lead.

Vermont (5-2) never caught up as Harvard (6-3) hit 5 of 8 free throws in the final 3:30.

Erik Nelson led Vermont with 18 points and Roach had 15. Chris Gancio had 15 for Harvard.

Snowden finished with eight-for-13 from the field as the Crimson shot 52.8 percent while holding the Catamounts (5-2) to 41.5 percent.

Harvard led 37-23 before Vermont scored 11 straight points to close within 39-36 at the half. Vermont pulled even at 49 and again at 53 before taking its only lead.
