Shockey Dislocates Ring Finger
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey dislocated his ring finger during pre-game warmups Sunday, but he planned to play against the Tennessee Titans.
Shockey caught a few passes from Jared Lorenzen during the coin toss and kept shaking his left hand. The tight end ranks second for the Giants with 39 catches for 403 yards and five touchdowns.
The Giants already were without defensive ends Michael Strahan (foot) and Osi Umenyiora (hip), cornerback Sam Madison (quadriceps), linebacker Brandon Short (quad) and offensive tackle Luke Petitgout (leg) _ all deactivated for the game.
