Bartirimo Seeks Kathie Lee’s Spot
NEW YORK (AP) _ ``Regis & Maria B``? CNBC financial reporter Maria Bartiromo says that sounds good to her.
Bartiromo tells People magazine she would consider giving up Wall Street if presented with the chance to work alongside Regis Philbin on his morning show.
``It would take a phenomenal position for me to consider leaving, and that’s how I feel about the Kathie Lee spot,″ the 32-year-old Bartiromo says.
Kathie Lee Gifford has announced she’s leaving the nationally syndicated show this summer after 15 years. Other names floated as possible replacements were Philbin’s wife, Joy, and television personalities such as Linda Dano, Joan Lunden and Leeza Gibbons.
