Hauk Gets the Only Goal G-D Needed

Emily Hauk netted the game’s only goal, unassisted, and Groton-Dunstable defeated Leominster, 1-0, in field hockey action.

Elsewhere, Littleton High, Pelham and Bishop Guertin all won big.

Goalie Anne Madden preserved the shutout for the Crusaders with 12 saves.

Littleton 6

Littleton (5-0-2) stayed unbeaten led by a 4-goal, 1-assist effort from sophomore Valerie Crory.

Junior Molly Magnette had 1 goal and 3 assists, and Emma Beers also scored. Goalie Julia Cochran made 7 saves to record her 2nd shutout of the season.

Pelham 4

Oyster River 1

Pelham controlled played for the entire game and improved to 6-1.

Junior Abbey Bevens had a goal and 2 assists for the Pythons, and sophomore Sydney Nutter scored a pair of goals. Emily Paquette scored Pelham’s first goal.

Cassie Hemmerdinger was also a standout for PHS.

Bishop Guertin 7

Nashua North 0

Emily Lisi netted 2 goals in the first half and Bishop Guertin rolled to a dominant victory.
