Lakeland High School Senior Accused Of Raping, Sexually Assaulting Teens

October 12, 2018

A Lakeland High School senior is accused of sexually assaulting two teen girls at a Greenfield Twp. party earlier this year.

Nicholas Rosencrance, 19, 17 Holgate Lane, Scott Twp., is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and related charges. County detectives launched an investigation when teen girls reported Rosencrance sexually assaulted them.

The Times-Tribune does not identify victims of sexual assault.

Two girls told police they were at a party in Greenfield Twp., which took place overnight from Aug. 4 into Aug. 5. One told detectives a visibly intoxicated Rosencrance asked her to take a walk at the party, then got sexually aggressive with her. He forced her to kiss him and shoved his hand down her pants, detectives said.

Another girl told police Rosencrance raped her at the party, according to court documents.

One of the teens told detectives that Rosencrance sent her a message on social media platform Snapchat not long after the incidents and said “he was wrong” and didn’t mean to hurt them, police said.

A third teen told police Rosencrance sexually assaulted her in Ocean City, Maryland. Detectives here referred that case to the Ocean City Police Department.

Magisterial District Judge George Seig arraigned Rosencrance on Friday morning and set bail at $100,000. He is held in Lackawanna County Prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 22.
