Two N.H. Residents Busted in Tewksbury on Drug Trafficking Charges

TEWKSBURY -- Police on Monday arrested two Greenville, N.H. residents on heroin trafficking charges.

Brandon M. Fernandez and Samantha R. Newton, both 25 and of 60 Mill St., Greenville, N.H., were charged with trafficking of a Class A substance (heroin) over 18 grams, according to the Tewksbury Police Department. Fernandez was additionally charged with an outstanding warrant for possession of a Class A substance and failure to signal.

According to a release, detectives were conducting surveillance in the parking lot of the Circle K gas station at 1795 Andover St. for the purpose of drug interdiction. During the surveillance, detectives observed what they believed to be possible drug activity and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Police, through further investigation, arrested Fernandez and Newton. Twenty-five grams of heroin was recovered, according to the release.

Fernandez and Newton were arraigned Tuesday at Lowell District Court.
