Franklin man dies after falling into Hopkinton lake
HOPKINTON, Mass. (AP) — An autopsy is scheduled on the body of a Franklin man who died after falling into a Hopkinton lake over the weekend.
The body of 23-year-old Nicholas Horton was pulled from lake Whitehall on Sunday morning after the canoe he was in capsized late Saturday night.
He was found by police divers.
The two other people in the canoe, identified only as a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman from Franklin, swam to shore, but Horton could not be located. The two survivors were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Horton’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
