BALTIMORE (AP) _ Tim Worrell agreed Friday to a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles, who invited the right-handed reliever to spring training.

Worrell, 32, made 53 appearances in relief last season for the Oakland Athletics, going 2-2 with a 4.15 ERA. In seven major league seasons, Worrell is 20-32 with a 4.46 ERA.

Worrell, who has played for four teams, is the brother of Todd Worrell, who pitched for 11 years in the major leagues with Los Angeles and St. Louis.

Tim Worrell spent five seasons with the Padres, then was traded to Detroit following the 1997 season. He was claimed on waivers by Cleveland in 1998 and traded to Oakland later that season.
