Chesapeake Utilities: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
DOVER, Del. (AP) _ Chesapeake Utilities Corp. (CPK) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $8.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Dover, Delaware-based company said it had net income of 50 cents.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 54 cents per share.
The energy and utility company posted revenue of $130.9 million in the period.
Chesapeake Utilities shares have increased 12% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 9% in the last 12 months.
