Teens charged in attack in which victim’s hair was set afire
SEABROOK, N.H. (AP) — Three 19-year-olds from New Hampshire have been charged with holding another teen against his will during an assault in which his hair was set on fire.
A grand jury indicted them on charges of felony criminal restraint and simple assault for the episode that was watched and videotaped by others in October in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
All three suspects are free on bail.
Assistant Rockingham County Attorney Ryan Ollis tells WMUR-TV the 18-year-old victim was held in a room for a period of two hours.
In court documents, police described the victim as having a low-level autism disorder. He told police his assailants beat him, spat upon him and flicked ashes in his hair. He said he was told he’d be in a “body bag” if he tried to escape.
