August 19, 2018

IRONTON - The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a culvert replacement project on Ohio 378 in Lawrence County, according to a news release.

The proposed project is to replace a structure at the 2.21 mile marker over a tributary of Symmes Creek between County Road 61 (Drift Creek Road) and Windsor Township Road 165 (McKinney Creek-Symmes Creek).

The project calls for replacing a 72-inch corrugated metal pipe, which will require acquisition of nearly two-tenths of a mile of new right of way. No homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project.

A contract for the project is scheduled to be awarded in fall 2019.

Additional information, including a complete description, maps and plan sheets, is available online at www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx.

Written comments can be submitted by Aug. 28 to Greg Manson, ODOT District 9 environmental supervisor, P.O. Box 467, 650 Eastern Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601, or via email to greg.manson@dot.state.oh.us.
