A quick guide to the area’s must-see events this weekend:
Unity Park festival
If you like crafts and food, you’ll have plenty of opportunity get your fix of both during the first Unity Park Food Truck & Craft Festival this weekend.
From 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday there will be almost 100 vendors, artists, crafts, food trucks and more at Unity Park in Winona.
Come check out the small businesses and crafters. There will also be live music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and plenty of activities for kids to participate in.
Winona Artisan Market
The Winona Artisan Market is back for the month of August and will be joining the Winona Farmers Market at the entrance of the newly renovated Levee Park.
Come check out handmade goods and wares for sale from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Winona Artisan Market offers a venue for local makers and artists to sell their quality handcrafted wares to the greater community. The market helps to promote independent artists by encouraging attendees to shop local.
Floating concert on Lake Winona
It’s time to grab the canoe and kayak — or borrow one from Lake Lodge — and push out onto Lake Winona for some live music and socializing.
WINONArts is hosting another edition of the Floating Concert. This time it will feature singer-songwriter Reina del Cid, who will be gracing the floating stage at 4 p.m. Sunday. Boats will launch about 3:30 p.m. from near Lake Lodge.
After building a devoted online following as a solo artist, Del Cid teamed up with instrumentalists Toni Lindgren, Andrew Foreman and Nate Babbs to develop a sophisticated sound with broad appeal. Their music has been featured by Paste Magazine, NPR and Baeble Music.
