Woman shot to death in Louisiana neighborhood
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Police in Louisiana’s capitol city have identified a woman who was shot to death in a neighborhood.
East Baton Rouge Coroner Beau Clark told news outlets the victim in the shooting around 8 p.m. Tuesday was 56-yea-rold Janessa Hartley.
Reporters at the scene said a body was on the ground next to a vehicle with its driver’s side window shot out. It appeared the vehicle ran off the road into someone’s lawn.
East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore III said at the scene Tuesday night and said it’s too early to determine exactly what happened or why.
No arrests have been made.
