Suspect in hooded sweatshirt robs Wells Fargo branch
A man in a gray Nike hooded sweatshirt robbed the Wells Fargo bank branch on West State Boulevard of an undisclosed amount of cash this morning, Fort Wayne police said.
Officers responded about 9:35 a.m. to an alarm at the bank, 901 W. State Blvd., city police said in a statement.
It said the suspect entered the bank, passed a note to a teller demanding cash and indicated he was armed, although he never displayed a weapon.
The robber was given an undisclosed amount of cash and ran east from the bank, police said.
The suspect is described as in his early 20s, white, and 5-feet-5 to 5-feet-8 inches tall. He was wearing a gray Nike hooded sweatshirt, with bold black Nike lettering on the front with black sleeves, a black ball cap, blue denim jeans and black high-top athletic shoes.

The robbery remains under investigation by city, county and Indiana State Police, the Bank Robbery Task Force; and the county prosecutor’s office.
