Meridian Bioscience: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot
CINCINNATI (AP) _ Meridian Bioscience Inc. (VIVO) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $8.1 million.
The Cincinnati-based company said it had profit of 19 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 20 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 18 cents per share.
The diagnostic test maker posted revenue of $51.5 million in the period.
Meridian Bioscience expects full-year earnings in the range of 74 cents to 76 cents per share.
Meridian Bioscience shares have dropped slightly more than 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 11 percent in the last 12 months.
