April 8, 1999

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (AP) _ At Home Solutions today announced an agreement with cable operator Falcon Communications to deliver high-speed Internet services via cable lines to rural markets in 23 states.

The service, to be named Falcon At Home, will have access to approximately 1.2 million homes and is expected to begin later this year.

At Home Solutions is a joint venture between Redwood City-based At Home Network, Falcon Communications, 3Com Corp., Cisco Systems Inc. and Motorola Inc. The venture seeks to assist small- and medium-sized cable operators and systems in providing Internet services to their 15 million customers.

``Falcon is committed to delivering advanced communications services to the non-urban markets that form the core of our business,″ said Marc Nathanson, Falcon’s chairman and chief executive officer. ``Every citizen in the United States, regardless of the size of community they live in, should have access to high-speed modems and services.″
