OIL CITY, Pa. (AP) _ Quaker State Vice Chairman Jack W. Corn was named president and chief operating officer of the company on Wednesday.
Chairman Quentin E. Wood will retire as chief executive officer on July 1, at which time Corn will succeed him in that position, company officials said.
Wood will remain as chairman, the company said.
Corn has been associated with Quaker State since 1957, when his company, Corn Brothers Inc. of Smyrna, Ga., became a distributor of its products.
Corn sold his company to Quaker State in 1974.
